WI CHW NEtwork

About the Network  

• The Wisconsin Community Health Worker Network (WI CHW Network) is a collaboration among Great Rivers HUB, UniteWI, Milwaukee AHEC, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Chronic Disease Prevention Program, the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, in addition to agencies that have historically been involved with the CHW movement in Wisconsin. This partnership strives to support the growth of a statewide network, sustainability, and workforce development for all CHWs in Wisconsin. The network is guided by health equity and centering voices principles that encourage and support CHW leadership at the core. The goals of the network are to strengthen relationships between CHWs and the Wisconsin Public Health workforce, increase community-clinical linkages among CHWs, community-based organizations, and our health systems as well as support the sustainability of the workforce as it relates to reimbursement, certification, and training.
